Volunteer Orientation Program organized by ActionAid and We Are The Common People

ActionAid India and We Are the Common People had organized a mega Workshop on Engaging Students and Youth in Social Work. The Volunteer Orientation Program was a grand initiative of Subhojit Duttagupta, Secretary of WE ARE THE COMMON PEOPLE.

ActionAid India Regional Director Surojit Niyogi, Vidyasagar University Professor Ashesh Mustafi, industrialist Sandipan Biswas, social activist Sagar Sharma, Rtn. Piyali Ghosh, Rakhi Banerjee Roy, Ln. & Rtn. Kaustoov Majumdar, officials of ONU CHHOBI WELFARE ASSOCIATION, Swastik Sharma, social influencer Asish Basak and others had graced the occasion.

Surojit Niyogi said that such a seminar will open up many opportunities for youth volunteers to gain new skills, experience and recognition. Action Aid India volunteers work closely with their staff and work under the guidance and supervision of their respective supervisors and volunteer coordinators. He urged the youth to be involved in the constructive activities of the society. More than 100 students from 31 educational institutions were present in the event.

Sagar Sharma also applauded We Are the Common People for standing up on youth issues.
Subhajit Duttagupta remarked that India currently has the largest youth population with 70% of the country’s total population under the age of 35.

ActionAid India engages volunteers from diverse backgrounds to harness this population for the country’s progress, providing opportunities to showcase diverse skills across its programs, projects and campaigns in different regions of the country.

We Are The Common People has partnered with ActionAid India to accelerate this process.
