The most awaited India’s first ‘THE SHADES OF NUDE’ exhibition was inaugurated with a star-studded gathering of India. President of Imagecraft Shankar Das, Singer Composer Surjit Mukherjee, Pandit Mallar Ghosh, Pandit Subhash Singh, Director RD Nath, Biman Bhattacharya from Russia, Artist Surath Chakraborty, Miss Kolkata Tilottama Sarmistha together started the inauguration. The exhibition hall was flooded with people. Singer Surjit Mukherjee said this exhibition will send a good message not only to India but also to the world and will create history. He expressed his respect & love to this idea of artist Surath Chakraborty. Dr. Partha Sarathi Mukherjee praised the exhibition. He said that the loss of Indian art culture due to foreign invasion, this exhibition will make up for it by sending a good message to the society.
There were approx 96 paintings and photographs of Sarmishta in this exhibition. The world famous sculptor Ramkumar Manna made a statue of Sarmishtha about 6 feet tall. The main attractions of the exhibition were artist Sanatan Dinda’s large-scale painting, RD Nath’s work on the universe and woman, Gopal Naskar’s exquisite creations, Surath Chakraborty’s one-by-one photography into paintings, which caught everyone’s eye, including dignitaries. Actress Rituparna Sengupta bought two artwork on the opening day. Dr. Savita Nag, professor of Delhi Art College, who came from far Delhi, was overwhelmed by this exhibition, she said that this exhibition should be repeated in every state of India. This exhibition can bring the society to life. The authorities of Mumbai’s Hitaishi Art Gallery requested the Bengal Creative Club to hold this exhibition in Mumbai in April. In short, the Bengal Creative Club’s ‘THE SHADES OF NUDE’ exhibition has been ranked as one of the best art fairs in India, with a record crowd, star-studded gathering and outstanding work.
