On the occasion of National Youth Day and Week, Road Safety Awareness Week was organized under the aegis of “North Kolkata Janhit Sankalp” in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra.
Jashwant Singh, President of North Kolkata Janhit Sankalp, said that on the last day of this week-long program, an awareness campaign was conducted among the people regarding road safety in Girish Park.
On this occasion, Girish Park and Jora Bagan police station also provided commendable cooperation.
This program was inaugurated by MLA Kamal Kant Hansda.
From January 11 to January 17, this program was organized at various places in the metropolis like Tangra, Rajabazar, Kashipur, Girish Park, Narkeldanga, Beliaghata, etc.
Shailendra Mishra, Sunil Singh, Shiv Singh and members of North Kolkata Janhit Sankalp worked diligently in making the program successful.
