Sayan Debnath : Kolkata, 18 August 2024. Radha Krishna’s Jhulan Mahotsav is celebrated with the whole world at Krishnapur, Kolkata. Organized by Krishnapur Sporting Club. Also a huge fair is organized by the club. On the one hand, devotees are enthralled by the sight of Radha Krishna’s swing and take delicious prasad along with it. On the other hand, Ashok Akhara Ek Vijaya Mandir organized Ashok Classic and Hands of Steel on the stage. Krishnapur Sporting Club extends full cooperation in the organization. This club has been organizing this fair since 1994. Senior journalist Gopal Debnath was the chief guest on behalf of Krishnapur Sporting Club and club secretary Tapas Pramanik honored Bir Chakra awardee Bimal Kumar Chand from the hands of the President. He was accompanied by Bollywood actor and sports person Ashokraj Barui, the leader of Ashok Akhara, an exercise temple. Vishwajit Mandal, Sanatan Mandal and Balaram Mandal were present on the stage among other members of the club. In the evening, Ashokaraj organized physical exercises – push ups, squats, arm wrestling, bicep curls, body building and men’s fitness demonstrations. A total of 35 contestants participated in the day’s competition. Ashok Akhara welcomed Chief Guest Gopal Debnath and Chief Guest Bimal Kumar Chand with Uttariya on behalf of Ek Vijaya Mandir and presented mementos. Veteran journalist Sujith Chatterjee and photojournalist Rajen Biswas were felicitated with citations and trophies by the two organisations. After the arm wrestling and body show program was over, Amisharaj Yoga won everyone’s hearts with a display of glass balance and artistry. Ayesharaj performs gymnastics and little Amarraj stunner with body show and fitness. Maheshwari Barui, Suraj Jaiswal, Dipayan Ghosh, Samarpita Ghosh and Abhiroop Ghosh with overall support for the programme. Parthib Saha Roy in arm wrestling, Navjit Ghosh in bicep curl, Mahafuz Rahman in pushup, Dipankar Sardar in men’s physique, Dev Kundu in bodybuilding and Raj Bir in squats were champions. Devkumar Kundu won the best champion of champions title of the day. Chief guest Gopal Debnath and special guest Bimal Kumar Chand honored the awardees with medals and trophies. The entire program was hosted and directed by Ashokraj Barui. On the occasion of the Jhulan Mela, the visitors enjoyed the whole program organized by the Ashok Akhara Ek Vyasa Mandir.
