International Kolkata Fashion week IKFW2.0 was organised by Pragaati Banglaa recently.
This was one of the biggest & most prestigious fashion extravaganza of Eastern India with 33 Fashion Designers, 256 models, 42 Makeup Artists in 70 feet long ramp in two days in City of Joy recently.
The Founder & Organiser of IKFW Lion Dr Arijit Kumar Neogy has been patronising and promoting sustainable Fashion & Ethnicity for last 2 decades with his organisation Pragaati Banglaa, Designer Brand ELEGANCE & International Magazine Kaleidoscope.
33 designers from all across the country participated in 2 days mega extravaganza. National Designers like Study By Janak by Vandy Mehra, Amin Farista, Ashish Mukherjee, Rajdeep Roy, Sumit Dasgupta along with International designer like Chaman Chowdhury from Bangladesh showcased their collections.
Top models of Kolkata participated in the runway, like Madhabilata Mitra, Shabbir Beig, Subhomita, Poulomi, Abhijit Chakraborty, Manpreet Singh, Roop Bakshi, Shadman & others.
Celebrity actress Koushani Mukherjee & Debika Mukherjee walked the ramp. The show director & choreographer was Nicola Gomes. All the sequences were based on specific themes. Some of the highlighted themes were Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam -World is one Family with models walking the ramp with flora & fauna.
Soumen Ghosh & Amin Farista had their themes with Khadi, Arindam Banerjee, Ashish Mukherjee & Somsuvro Chakraborty had festivity as their theme for their fashion sequence.
The GGI Beauty Pageant was organised by Rita Maity. The winners were crowned & felicitated with mementos by jury panelists Dr. Paromy, Arpita Bose & Others .
Face of Lions by Lions International District 322B2 was awarded to Arkadeep Kundu.
The makeup partner Lakme Academy led by Suman Das, Emcee Rohit Shaw & Tathastu. BTCF AWARDEES 2024 were Richa Sharma (Supermodel & Actress), Koushani Mukherjee (Actress), Arijit Dutta (Actor & Entrepreneur), Sneha Ghosh (Super Model), Abhishek Roy (Designer), Sayon Mitra (Designer), Sarbaris by Amlan & Kanaklata Dutta.
The star studded evening was graced by Hon’ble MLA & Mayor in Council of Kolkata Municipal Corporation Shri Debasis Kumar.
