George Telegraph Training Institute was established for the advancement of vocational training

Exactly 103 years ago in 1920, George Telegraph Training Institute was established for the advancement of vocational training in India. It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified training institute and National Skill Development Corporation Government of India partner. This institute is affiliated with Netaji Subhash Open University and West Bengal State University.

Students from around 23 different departments like Automobile Engineering, Air Conditioner Refrigeration Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Paramedical Science, Solar Power Technology and Computer Software etc. participated in the event.
Various representatives of the industrial community and eminent persons from different sectors of the society and all the present audience appreciated the skills displayed by the students.

Inaugurating the program Mr. Subrata Dutta, Trustee Managing Director of the Institute, in his speech said that all the students of this program are our wealth. They will be able to establish themselves in the present industrial society with their excellent skills.

George Telegraph Training Institute Director Operations, Anindya Dutta said the students presented these projects with the help of all their teachers through tireless work for about a month. He is happy that the hard work of the students has finally paid off.
He also said that he wishes all the students of the institution a bright future and he is very optimistic that all the projects can become very effective in future industries.
Honorable Shri Purnendu Basu Mahashay, Former Minister of Technical Education Department, and Dr. Himadri Bhattacharya Chakraborty, Principal of Bangavasi College, were present as distinguished guests in the award distribution ceremony. The two-day long event ended with a musical performance by renowned musician Paushali Banerjee.
